About me
Hey there, fellow human.
So you're curious about the mind behind this site? Well, I have to admit it's an interesting one. You could describe it as a bit of a creative mess, but the type of mess where you somehow know where everything is and what it belongs to.
A question a lot of people ask is how to describe myself. I always find this both extremely difficult to answer, yet painfully easy. At the core of it, I'm a maker. I'm always thinking, creating, coming up with new ideas, and trying to turn them into something tangible. More often than not, I succeed, but truthfully, I tend to learn the most from the ones that fail.
My workshop is a wonderland of sawdust, paint splatters, and creations. Whether I'm doing woodworking, turning something on my lathe, using my laser cutter, sculpting, or painting, I'm always building, always making something from nothing.
You could say I have entirely too many hobbies, but I would argue that's impossible. Each and every hobby I pick up teaches me something. Sometimes I start something I know nothing about, and the feeling of learning, figuring it out, and at the end being able to say I did that is what gets me going in the morning.
Inspiration comes from the strangest places: a smudge of dirt on the floor, a goofy-looking bird, an amazing piece of art. It all carries the possibility of something more. Which is why I have always lived by the rule that no idea is a bad idea; the craziest thought can lead to something amazing.
Every day is a new adventure. Some days, that blank page stares back at me, taunting me. Other days, it's a portal to a world of amazing possibilities. That's the amazing part of it.
I hope my portfolio gives you a glimpse into who I am and what I'm capable of. I'm a real person with real passions, and I'm always looking for new challenges and exciting collaborations.
So, if you're looking for someone who can bring your ideas to life, let's connect!
Oh, and in case you were wondering, I also enjoy:
Painting, sculpting, and drawing. (Basically, anything that involves getting my hands dirty.)
Woodworking. I'm particularly fond of my wood lathe.
Bonsai: There's a beauty in the patience that is needed. It also has led me on a weird adventure to try to grow anything I can from seed.
Hockey. Been a part of me my entire life.
Martial arts. Muay Thai, boxing, and jiu-jitsu have become recent obsessions.
